This DVD contains 16mm Luftwaffe gun camera footage from WWII.
This is hairy footage of B-17's and B-24's getting the crap shot out of them. This is some of the most intense aerial combat footage I have ever seen. Also includes engagements against P-38's and P-51's and a few other aircraft types. But most of what you will see is heavy bombers taking unbelievable poundings.
Each sequence begins with a title panel with information (all in German). It gives the attacking aircraft type, what is being attacked, attacking pilots name, etc.
This film is a tribute to the hellish environment faced by American bomber crews during daylight bombing missions over Germany. I kid you not, this footage is incredible, and the amount of damage those bombers sustain is just nasty.
A great look at WWII aerial combat from the eyes of the enemy.
The footage has not been edited. It has been left exactly as it was captured from the 16mm films.
35 minutes running time.
