This DVD contains the uncut 1975 16mm film titled "A Day at Sea", which was made to show a typical day at sea aboard a frigate. The film essentially follows, and is narrated in the person of the Command Master Chief on his last day at sea before retirement. The film was shot entirely aboard the Lockwood, and shows the entire ship; From the engines up to the main deck. This really is a great look at the tin-can Navy, and is a great Navy documentary. The only flaw, and it is very minor, is that the color has shifted to a slight magenta hue, as you can see from the screen captures. |
